Amy Zimmer-Faust, Ph.D.

Senior Fellow, Local Climate Resilience

Amy Zimmer-Faust is a senior fellow at GCSE and a research scientist at the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project (SCCWRP), an intergovernmental agency focused on developing novel tools and technologies for the water management community. In her role at GCSE, Amy contributes to efforts aimed at linking science to decision-making at the local level. She helps facilitate dialogue and engage with universities to understand what factors impact success when using science to inform policy and management response. 

Previously, she was a postdoctoral fellow with the US EPA. Her research intersects water, public health, and the utilization of science for improving water management. She earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering and a M.S. in Environmental Health Science, from the University of California at Los Angeles.
