James Sanders

GCSE Drawdown USA Scholar

James Sanders is a GCSE Drawdown USA Scholar. He will help GCSE build and solidify the GCSE Drawdown USA network and support interested universities in integrating the principles of Project Drawdown into their Research Undergraduate Experiences (REUs).

James spent the summer of 2019 as an inaugural Penn State Drawdown Scholar where he worked to model the warming effects caused by changes in reflected sunlight from tree plantations, and incorporated this into Drawdown’s models. He is currently studying applied mathematics as an undergraduate at Rice University, with a focus on environmentally-oriented data science and economic analysis.
