Preethi Boinapally is the research fellow at GCSE. She recently graduated from Northeastern University, majoring in biology with a minor in environmental studies. She continues to actively pursue research in marine science and co-authored a paper regarding the flexibility of the octopus in Nature Magazine. Having worked at the Marine Biological Laboratory under the guidance of many expert ecologists and environmentalists, she’s gained insight into the backdrop of science in the movement toward a sustainable future. In the past she’s worked in Madagascar with Blue Ventures conducting research on coral bleaching along the coast of Andavadoake. She continues to work with Husky Environmental Action team, where she’s helped develop various campus initiatives that involved pushing for clean technology to be reinforced across campus and in various social justice initiatives that would ensure sustainability awareness is built around an inclusive framework.
