Pathways to Accreditation: Professional Development Course

An important component of the accreditation initiative is the development of a professional development course or series of courses that provide a cohort-driven deeper dive into using the key competencies for program design and improvement. The initial audience for the course would be program directors and faculty teaching in sustainability or sustainability-related programs. The course will contain both asynchronous materials (like videos and resources) as well as synchronous interaction for participants interested in learning more about key competencies and/or who are interested in exploring program accreditation. Curriculum development, student learning outcomes assessment, and program evaluation can be done with support in the context of a collaborative community using the shared reference framework in key competencies.
